Peninsula YMCA is seeking a Site Coordinator for the After School Program at Portola Elementary School - 300 Amador Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066Under the supervision of the Youth Program Director, the After School Program (ASP) Site Coordinator is responsible for daily onsite supervision, program implementation, and the development of youth and staff. The ASP Site Coordinator ensures a high level of program quality that will expose youth to various learning opportunities, working to establish a positive relationship with all program participants, their families, and members of the school administration. This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe and welcoming after school program site, including spending time in ratio working directly with youth as needed. They will create an academic and enrichment-based program that is compliant with the Youth Development Principles of the YMCA of San Francisco.Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 21 years oldAssociate’s degree or higher, or High School diploma/equivalent, and any of the following: passed the District Instructional Aide Exam, CA Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST), or completed 48 college units verified by transcriptMust be available Mondays-Fridays, 40 hours/week during program hours, some weekends2+ years of experience working with youth programs6+ months in a supervisory roleCurrent YMCA approved CPR and First Aid certification (training available upon hire)Fingerprint background check clearanceTB Test clearancePreferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with teaching credential or passing score on CBESTChild Development Site Supervisor Permit qualified (School-Age emphasis)Demonstrate knowledge, familiarity, and experience working in or with schools within local school districtsBilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, or other languageAll employees working with the YMCA are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors. Job offers are conditional and contingent upon background clearance. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and CA Fair Chance Act, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Benefits
