We are currently looking for a talented, detail oriented person to join our growing Product Development team. The potential candidate will assist with development of new products for cell analysis such as antibodies, multi-color panels, and reagents for analysis of cell metabolism and cell imaging. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, team player, able to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team and must possess excellent organization skills.Essential FunctionsUnder supervision design and execute experiments to test products for biological research with emphasis in immunoassays and flow cytometryIndependently analyze flow cytometry data using FlowJo and/or FCS expressOrganize and work in multiple projects, pro-actively complete assigned tasks and report its progressExperience with mammalian cell culture is desiredEnsure completion of entries into related databases as required per company policyAbility to plan and track multiple projects simultaneously and pro-actively complete assigned tasksPerform other duties as neededPromote a safe and compliant work environmentMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in life sciencesExperience with flow cytometry is required.Proficient in aseptic technique and tissue culture of primary cells and cell linesHands on experience in cell-based assays e.g. cell activation, proliferation, differentiation, polarizationBasic understanding of working in a BSL-2 level laboratoryExperience using MS OfficePreferred QualificationsExperience using FlowJo and/or FCS express is desiredExperience with mammalian tissue cultureExperience using BD’s Canto II or similar flow cytometers is a plusHighly organized with attention to detail and capable to work independently and as part of a team.Experience using MS OfficeWork Environment & Physical DemandsLabWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
