Program Director Position

Otter Creek Child Center, established in 1984 as a non-profit early care and education center located in Middlebury, VT, is growing and is seeking a Program Director to add to our established administration team. Otter Creek is a 5 STARS, NAEYC accredited center serving children 6 weeks to 6 years and their families.
The successful applicant will complement the current administration team by bringing experience with infants through preschoolers, play-based emergent curriculum, and a strong dedication to building an inclusive community for families.
We are looking for a Program Director who has experience with and is familiar with:
Supervising teachers and working with them to achieve professional development goals
Supporting teachers with planning and implementing a play-based emergent curriculum that is responsive to the development of each child
Supporting teachers in creating an inviting environment that encourages exploration
Supporting children and families
Strong and clear verbal and written communication skills
Collaborating with and building relationships with county support services
NAEYC Accreditation, VT State Licensing Regulations, VT STARS System
Teaching Strategies GOLD, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Publisher, Email, and online programs.
Requirements:
Minimum of a BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with expertise in early childhood education
5+ years working directly with children and families
Preferred experience with supervision of teachers and working knowledge of teacher development.

Up to $55,000.00 per year
