Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Mabbett), an award-winning and industry-leading environmental, health and safety, and architectural-engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Group Director to support the firm’s growing Natural Resources and Site Assessment & Remediation Practice areas.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership, client management, business development, and work with and/or support other practice areas within the firm.
Lead assignments working under the provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and in a wide range of state and local jurisdictions.
Create a business development plan and effectively implement the plan with support from team members and Chief Growth Officer
Serve the federal, state, local, and commercial sectors with assignments that include assessing the potential impacts of infrastructure and development projects, preparing regulatory agency permit applications, and supporting NEPA and state-equivalent reports.
Provide technical expertise and lead project implementation with a wide variety of clients and project types, from small local developments to large federal projects.
Location:
This position can be based out of the firm’s Corporate Headquarters located in Stoneham, MA office or our Regional Office in Alexandria, VA.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Wetland Science, Wildlife Biology, Natural Resource Management, or a related course of study.
10+ years of consulting experience in the natural resources market, including but not limited to wetland delineation, habitat delineation, impact assessment, regulatory compliance, archeology, or cultural resources.
Direct and progressive experience working in the environmental planning & remediation field with demonstrated ability to successfully manage and mentor staff members.
Diverse project management experience for federal government projects.
Demonstrated results-oriented marketing and business development experience.
Experience with NEPA preferred.
Experience with sustainability, greenhouse gas estimating, or coastal resiliency planning a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Word and Excel. Familiarity with ArcGIS a plus.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, as well as pre-employment physical and drug screen, to include cannabis.
