CEOPosition Summary:The Sales Director position is to lead our sales and drive revenue growth for Wesgarde Components Group. The position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and work closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve company objectives. This person will be a member of the Wesgarde executive team. A successful candidate will have a passion for interacting with customers and driving revenue growth.Education Required:Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or equivalent.Experience Required:At least 10 years of experience in the electronics industry, sales, sales management, or a relevant business role.7 years leading a B2B sales team in a professional sales environment with demonstrated success.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with sales software and databases. Epicor a plus.Competency Skills:Communication skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey product information and persuade others to change their minds or behavior.Interpersonal skills:
Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with customers, and across different levels in the organization.Technical expertise:
Extensive technical expertise selling/upselling products and providing technical support to customers.Analytical and problem-solving skills:
The ability to analyze data and information, identify customer needs, and determine the most appropriate solution.Time management skills:
The ability to manage one's own time and the time of others, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Sales and marketing skills:
Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, strategies, and tactics to develop marketing plans, proposals, and sales contracts.Leadership skills:
The ability to motivate, develop, and direct sales teams, identify the best people for the job, and make decisions and solve problems.Responsibilities:Understand the mission, vision, and core values of the company and hold the sales team accountable to those ideas.Be a leader to everyone on the sales team, engage with managers to ensure they understand leadership and hold them accountable for their leadership role.Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements, promote the sale of company products, and provide sales support.Work with the franchised lines representatives to ensure that we have current information that will be shared with the sales team.Collaborate with other departments and managers to ensure good communication between departments.Sell products requiring extensive technical expertise and support for installation and use.Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.Visit prospective buyers at commercial, industrial, or other establishments to show samples or catalogs and inform them about product pricing, availability, and advantages.Research and identify potential customers for products or services.Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other team members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.Develop sales plans to introduce products to new markets.Manage a team of 5 Branch Managers: including visiting their sites on a quarterly basis.Monitor market conditions or trends.Prepare and analyze financial documents, reports, and/or budgets.Develop extensive business intelligence.Attending events to develop professional knowledge.Contact current or potential customers to promote products or services.Deliver promotional presentations to current or prospective customers.Work with Marketing to develop content for sales presentations or other materials.Accountable for building and leading the strategy for development of the sales associates and managers.Communicate company goals and objectives.Promote continuous improvement through training and mentoring of sales associates.Perform other duties as assigned.Location/Travel:This position will be based in Lakeland, FL, and the person in this role will be expected to be able to live in the area or be willing to relocate. This is an in-office position.Traveling will be expected in this role, up to 15 - 25%. This will be to visit site branches and customers. It is expected that each branch will be visited 3-4 times a year.Physical Demands:This position is mostly sedentary 7+ hours a day. Work is done in an office environment and requires the ability to type for periods of time. There is occasional lifting of boxes up to 20 pounds. Most work is done using a computer and screen time will be heavy.
