Infrastructure Engineer - Exchange Online and 365 Administration

Position Summary
The Infrastructure Engineer will work within the Productivity and Collaboration pod with an emphasis on Exchange online and 365 Administration. This role will build, manage, and improve the infrastructure systems providing services in support of the day-to-day operations, critical projects, and strategic growth of the business.They will specialize in supporting key IT systems which are used enterprise-wide to bring Triumph team members together virtually. The technologies supported by the Productivity and Collaboration pod include e-mail services (Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online, Mimecast, and SendGrid), messaging (Slack), and collaboration services (Smartsheet and Zoom). The successful candidate will need to develop solutions, create standards, and provide guidance to technical teams. This role will also be responsible for creating and updating infrastructure documentation, systems assessments, and reporting results.A Day in the Life
Proactively gather information and utilize analytical and creative problem-solving skills, alongside standard processes, and technologies, to create efficient, secure, and reliable solutions for the business.
Provide general and routine maintenance support including installation, patching, and configuration of systems within the pod's expertise.
Provide technical support for Productivity and Collaboration solutions and services.
Create and maintain documents for procedures/processes and infrastructure architecture/topology diagrams.
Collaborate with team members and software vendors to design, implement, and test systems.
Accountable for use of services, handling of sensitive data, and resolving incidents and requests in compliance with FFIEC regulations.
Research and stay current with advances in technologies; recommend changes and updates accordingly.
Identify areas of improvement and proactively develop plans to improve infrastructure architecture.
Manage production and pre-production technology systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment.
Create automation through modern scripting methods such as PowerShell.
Respond to tickets and all other issues in a timely manner according to response SLA.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Tune and refine existing systems to reduce Help Desk workload by preventing tickets from recurring.
Attend weekly pod meetings to discuss progression through assigned engineering efforts and collaborate with others in the department.

Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:Bachelor’s degree in technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent work experience.
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure concepts with a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with managers and users with varying technical backgrounds in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong work ethic, time management, and organizational skills.
Must be able to receive and follow instructions given by management and develop solutions to unique problems.
Ability to work on more than one task at a time and manage work effectively by prioritizing team assignments, schedules, and meetings.
Ability to provide excellent customer service while meeting strict deadlines.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to adapt to changing work situations and procedures.
Hands-on project management skills to ensure the timely completion of work.
Ability to leverage tools to perform day-to-day administration tasks, root-cause analysis, and service restoration, such as backup, restore, failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring.
Ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
Motivated and engaged in personal and staff professional development and training.
Must be able to receive and follow instructions given by senior leadership but also be able to offer meaningful alternatives if necessary.
Ability to thoroughly explore and research the depths of an issue and remain persistent in understanding the root cause of issues.
Possess an eagerness to learn and obtain technical certifications.
Skills & Abilities Required
3+ years’ experience in an IT technical role in either Systems Administration/Engineering.
Experience working in both on-premise and cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
Expert-level skill with messaging technologies such as Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Purview (Compliance and Security).
Familiarity with other e-mail flow related services (Five9’s, SendGrid, etc.) a plus.
Moderate or better skill with a modern scripting language such as PowerShell (Exchange Module and Graph API).
Experience with Microsoft Azure/O365 Enterprise Applications.
Experience with other enterprise productivity software such as Zoom, SharePoint, Microsoft ADO, Microsoft Power Apps, and Power Automate a plus.
Experience with Mimecast (or similar mail filtering technology) and SendGrid a plus.
Understand Kanban workflow and be able to work within the confines of a structured project management system.
