Position Summary:We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the data science team at Walmart.About the team:Our team partners with engineering teams, business professionals and product managers from a variety of digital marketing channels including SEM, SEO, CRM and Display, etc. The team is dedicated to developing large scale data-driven solutions for digital media to bring high quality demand to Walmart at low cost. Team members have the unique opportunity to mine massive data sets generated by Walmart’s unparalleled online and offline commerce and develop models and algorithms that sustain and accelerate the growth of Walmart through omni channels. You’ll work with our distributed team of diverse and passionate data scientists, engineers, marketers, and product managers to build a world-class marketing science practice and integrated platform designed to support entire Walmart to enhance marketing strategies.What you'll do:Create and manage model serving inference solutions via NVIDIA Triton/vLLM for effective inference and the serving of expansive language models.Use Ray and vLLM tools to construct GenAI infrastructure to aid in distributed training and hyperparameter tuning of different GenAI models for enhancing the precision and relevance of Walmart ads.Generate and preserve documentation pertaining to model serving and inference solutions, such as architectural diagrams, deployment instructions, and performance indicators.Utilize ML Automation platforms like Mlflow, KubeFlow, and MetaFlow for full lifecycle machine learning support.Design sophisticated feature extraction algorithms for various advertising applications, including audience targeting, relevance ranking, and performance optimization.Construct, manage, and monitor scalable data pipelines using distributed computing frameworks (like Hadoop/Spark) and job schedulers (like Airflow/Azkaban) to aid in modeling and optimization products.Engage in code reviews, providing feedback to ensure the code is of excellent quality, maintainable, and adheres to best practices.What you'll bring:A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in machine learning engineering, data science, or a similar field.Strong competence in programming languages like Python or Java.Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.Experience with model serving and inference solutions like NVIDIA Triton or other inference servers, including containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.Experience using tools like Ray, vLLM for distributed training/offline inference.Solid experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale machine learning models.Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data visualization.About Walmart Global Tech:Imagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
