The Principal Solution Engineer analyzes, develops, modifies, installs, tests, and maintains the JDA Software. Possesses a strong understanding of JDA SCPO, Demand, Fulfillment, Order optimization, and Reporting. Evaluate vendor-supplied software packages for fit and performance, make recommendations to IT management. Monitors system capacity and performance and provides Tier Two technical support.Specialized Skills and Technologies
Required skills:PythonMLOps in AWSSQLFamiliarity with AWS products, Lambda, S3, etc.Amazon Sagemaker proficiencyTime Series analysis with machine learning modelsPreferred experience:Supply chain backgroundDemand and Supply planning domainPrimary Responsibilities
Serve in a team leader capacity with large-scale Application Development projects/programsLead and direct offshore application development programsMaintain a working knowledge of Software Code Development leading practices and serve as a thought leader to the SGWS organizationFacilitate Code Development / Engineering training and education programs for the IT teamProvide coaching and development to more junior Application DevelopersOversee the work of 3rd party Development teamsDrive the collection of the required information to develop work scope around solutions to attain business requirements along with data needs as requiredServe as liaison between Divisions/Functions and IT on projects and enhancementsPerform other job-related duties as assignedAdditional Primary Responsibilities
Communicate project risks that may have a negative impact on the project schedule, scope, or budgetEscalate project issues that surface and cannot be quickly resolved which will have an impact on the project schedule, scope, or budgetDesign and implement architecturally compliant system landscapesMake recommendations to enhance processes, procedures, and policies relating to systems functioning or performanceMonitor systems capacity and performance and provide Tier Two technical supportMentor and coach othersPerform other job-related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of work experience and educationFive (5)+ years in application development or comparable experienceExperience working with, and directing third-party Application Development teamsExperience leading and supporting teams with large-scale Application Development projects/programsExtensive experience across the entire project life cycle (SDLC) – be it implementing new software or enhancing existing functionalityExperience with interfaces into and from platforms (using APIs, ESB, SAP PI, etc.)Participate in Agile teamsDrive Behavior-Driven-Design (BDD) processExcellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholdersPhysical Demands
