International Tax Senior - Bilingual Japanese
We are a leading regional CPA firm dedicated to excellence in providing international tax services, with special expertise catering to Japanese clients. We are searching for an International Tax Senior to join our dynamic and growing team. This fully remote position offers a chance to engage in diverse and challenging work in a professional yet collegial environment, perfect for those situated in the PST or MST time zones. The ideal candidate should be fluent in Japanese and demonstrate profound abilities in handling complex tax situations for various entities and high-net-worth individuals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparing Federal and multi-state tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, bankruptcy entities, and trusts and estates.
Handling complex accounting and tax issues with the precision required to adhere to regulations while optimizing client outcomes.
Conducting both basic and advanced tax research to support client cases and firm knowledge.
Developing and maintaining robust client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Identifying tax planning and consulting opportunities to enhance client financial strategies.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
At least 2 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm setting.
Currently pursuing a CPA license or already certified.
Strong attention to detail complemented by solid communication, organizational, and analytical capabilities.
Self-directed with an entrepreneurial work ethic and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Proven ability to comprehend and articulate complex tax and accounting issues clearly.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience dealing specifically with tax issues relevant to our Japanese clients is highly desirable.
Advanced degree (e.g., MST, JD with a tax concentration) is preferred.
Prior roles that involved direct client interaction and consultancy on tax matters.
Familiarity with cloud-based accounting and tax software.
Experience in a role requiring Japanese language proficiency, either domestically or internationally.
Skills:
Fluent in Japanese, both verbal and written communication.
Expert knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations.
Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of tax codes to navigate and optimize client financial outcomes.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and team members.
Ability to manage deadlines in a remote work setting, ensuring consistent productivity and quality deliverables.
