Vice President of Human Resources

IsI is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources (VPHR) to serve as an integral member of the ISI executive team providing leadership, advice, guidance, and support on all human capital issues (including Human Resources, Recruiting, Payroll, Compensation and Benefits Administration). The VPHR directs all human capital policy, programs, teams, and initiatives, and partners with other Executives and Senior Leaders to define and execute a robust human capital management strategy. The VPHR serves as the principal subject matter expert and advisor to ISI senior leadership on matters relating to labor laws, regulatory compliance matters, and all other aspects of human resources management. The successful hands-on VPHR will lead and grow a team of human capital professionals and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Job Duties Include:
Develop and maintain the vision and long-term strategy for the human capital function that aligns with ISI’s objectives and cultural values, while supporting the company’s plans for growth and market impact. Ensures the organization's human capital strategy is aligned with current and future mission, goals, and objectives of ISI.
Provides vision and leadership in developing a human capital strategic plan, goals, and objectives to accomplish the ISI mission and bridge the gap between the present and future organizational requirements.
Develops and manages the annual HR budget, including forecasting expenses, budget execution and tracking, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Ensures the long-term success of the ISI through ongoing innovations and process improvements in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and employee experience management.
Continuously identifies and executes opportunities for process improvement and organizational efficiency leveraging technology where appropriate; makes clear business cases to leadership where investments could generate meaningful returns on investment.
Provides advisory support to senior leadership regarding management initiatives, restructuring, and organizational change management; advises senior leadership on modifications to the existing organizational structure, including risk analysis and implications of associated changes.
Establishes policies, strategies, and procedures that ensure that the ISI human capital resources are managed effectively and integrated with other departments.
Maintains and expands knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management. Identifies trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational resources. Mitigates legal risks and ensures regulatory compliance.
Oversees organizational human capital compliance. Ensures identification and management of all risks to effective and compliant Human Resources operations.
Provides strategic direction, policy guidance, and oversight to the overall activities and operations of the Human Capital team.
Provides leadership and guidance to the Human Resources function by overseeing talent acquisition, training and professional development, succession and workforce planning, retention, leadership development, employee relations and compensation and benefits administration. In collaboration with the Finance & Accounting Department, ensures effective and timely execution of payroll processes.
Continuously evaluates the ISI compensation and benefits plans to ensure they are competitive and cost-effective.
Oversees the ISI annual Performance Management process. Refines processes as necessary to support organizational needs.
Education and Experience:
Previous experience with growing, private equity backed organizations.
Demonstrated knowledge in organizations across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field. Master’s degree (or equivalent) in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
High level of integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Minimum 10 years in diversified experience as a leader of Human Resources operational practices, benefits, employee relations, data management, leave management, on/off-boarding, and employment law (COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, FLSA, etc.)
