Position SummaryMAG Aerospace is bidding on a NAVWAR PEO C4I program out of San Diego and contingently hiring for a
Senior Acquisition Management Specialist
with a current TS/SCI eligibility.
This position will manage and support a high-level NAVWAR program while directing personnel, acquisitions, program objectives, finances, schedules, overall performance, supervising ongoing technical efforts, and providing in-depth reporting.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to:
Supports the development of program acquisition documentation such as Acquisition Plans (AP), Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASR), Procurement Initiation Document (PID), Statement of Work (SOW), funding documents, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and Acquisition Program Baseline Agreements (APBA).
Assess program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements.
Attends, participates, supports, analyzes, provides input, develops, prepares reports on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards.
Assists with the development of tactical and strategic acquisition tasks for programs and projects throughout all phases of the acquisition lifecycle.
Advises on acquisition policies, regulations, and statutes and assists PMO programs and projects in complying with all Federal, DoD, DoN, NAVWAR, and PEO C4I requirements.
Advises on acquisition approaches (i.e., ACAT/project, Abbreviated Acquisition Program, Middle Tier Acquisition; Agile Acquisition) to assist PMO programs and projects in developing acquisition strategies.
Prepares, reviews, and updates program documentation in support of Milestone Decisions/reviews to reflect the current program status in appropriate formats.
Prepares Joint Capabilities Integration and Development Systems (JCIDS) documentation including, but not limited to, capabilities documents (CBAs, ICDs, CDDs, and CPDs), acquisition plans and strategies, and other required milestone documents listed in DoDI 5000.02.
RequirementsExperience
(10) or more years of recent and relevant experience within Navy and other DoD organizations (i.e., familiarity or experience in Program Management, Acquisition Management, and Contracts Management).
Education
Master's Degree preferred.
Bachelor's Degree is accepted with an additional 4 years of experience (bringing the above to 14 years of experience).
Desired Requirements
Familiarity with Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), and Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (PEO C4I).
DAWIA Level II or III in program management or similar (e.g., PMP).
