In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
We are seeking a Principal Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join our Engineering team in Aurora, Colorado for the role of System Integration & Test DevOps Lead. In this role, primary responsibilities will be comprised of leading a team of engineers working to deliver bi-weekly mission software releases from the development environment to the operational environment.
The DevOps Lead activities include being responsible for communicating and coordinating with product development teams, baseline checkout team, operations and maintenance (O&M) team and customer representatives, providing daily status, and communicating directly with factory leads and program management office.
What You Will Do:
Oversee and support the team of engineers responsible for software deliveries to the operational system
Provide regular updates to program leaders and customer representatives
Support weekly SETA and team lead technical tag-ups
Support Change Management Board meetings as needed
Provide technical SME support as a factory-based Systems Integration & Test Engineer
Work in a classified lab on site
Work in an Agile program environment
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience or 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in (STEM)
Experience working on-site in a badgeless environment with multiple stakeholders
Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems
Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations)
Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Test Automation experience (Cucumber, Gherkin, home-grown)
Experience with Java, C++, or Python
Experience with Linux operating system

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
