Our mission is to create and serve a more informed public with a vision to broaden conversations and deepen understanding.We have an outstanding opportunity for an IT Systems Technician (Computer Maintenance Technician 3) to build, configure, maintain, and upgrade the information technology systems and infrastructure necessary for KUOW. This role also serves as a customer service position, supporting KUOW employees in their IT needs.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Installation and Upgrade Projects (50%):
Lead system installation or upgrade projects as assigned by the IT Systems Manager, including software systems, network and endpoint security, backup and redundancy infrastructure, and more.Technical Support (10%):
Respond to broadcast or production issues and assist with IT requests from KUOW staff.Cybersecurity (10%):
Configure, install, and maintain security for users and endpoints.Hardware and Software Management (10%):
Install, configure, and maintain user workstations.System Administration (10%):
Create and modify user accounts and maintain KUOW network infrastructure.Staff Training (5%):
Provide orientation and training for new users.Other (5%):
Participate in department meetings and back up other IT department members as needed.WORKING CONDITIONS:Duties may require evening and weekend work for emergencies or system maintenance.Cubicle/Open workspace environment which may have higher noise levels.Hybrid office with occasional telework allowed.SUPERVISION: Position reports to IT Systems Manager.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITY:Requirements include:One year of experience as a Computer Maintenance Technician II or five years as a computer maintenance technician or equivalent education/experience.Experience with digital audio systems in a broadcast or live production environment.Two years' experience managing and configuring Office 365, including Azure and InTune.Demonstrated commitment to racial equity.KUOW Equal Employment Opportunity Statement:At KUOW, we believe that attracting and retaining diverse staff is crucial to serving our communities.
