Software Developer
to provide critical engineering and programming support for various projects and infrastructure activities. This candidate will also assist with designing and developing enterprise applications in a web environment, creating and modifying both general and specialized computer applications. Additionally, the candidate will manage website design, development, deployment, and maintenance, while also performing testing and quality assurance for web applications. The candidate will apply their expertise across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including creating advanced models and diagrams, providing guidance to less-experienced analysts, and acting as a consultant across multiple programs or contracts.
This position is in Herndon, VA.Required Qualifications:6+ years of relevant experienceProficiency with Angular and Java.Experience working in a dispersed team environment.Knowledge of SCRUM and Lean Agile Framework.Experience with quality assurance activities, such as peer reviews.Familiarity with GIT and Jenkins.Demonstrated experience in web service design and development.Experience with continuous integration, test automation, and DevOps.Proficiency with LINUX environments.Ability to translate complex system requirements into application interfaces.Knowledge of JAVA DataBase Connectivity (JDBC), Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC), or direct database interfaces.H.S DiplomaUS citizenship with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance requiredDesired Qualifications:Experience with implementing microservices, particularly micro front ends.Background in government customer architecture/engineering boards.Experience with AWS cloud solutions.Familiarity with automated CI/CD pipelines.Experience with distributed data architectures.Ability to discuss technical topics with non-technical stakeholders.Experience with Puppet module development and Terraform.Ongoing research into industry trends and new development to maintain up-to-date skills.Hands-on experience with Web Services (REST and SOAP).Familiarity with AWS services and working in an AWS environment.Bachelor’s DegreeThe Swift Group is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
