HIGHLY PREFERREDJob Description:Candidates should have a well-rounded mix of litigation experience. No specific litigation practice is required.Candidates MUST have Strong knowledge of bluebooking and cite checking briefs, as well as creation of Table of AuthoritiesThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience and will be responsible for the coordination of all details before, during and after trial. The successful candidate will have experience managing a trial team from inception through completion including legal research, document filing, coordinating and being a part of the onsite team.Responsibilities:Creates and implements all elements of litigation case management systems, including file management (electronic and hard copy), case calendaring, discovery-related tasks and trial activities.Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.Assist attorneys with document reviews (setup, coordination of hot doc binders, preparation of privilege logs, conduct searches as needed, etc.)Assist with preparation of state and federal court filings in coordination with Managing Attorney’s Office, including coordination of service copies, delivery of documents to Court, preparation of litigation backs and other specific document preparation as required by the specific Court or Judge.Draft and review routine legal documents as requested by attorneys.Conduct precedent and legal research under attorney supervision.Create and maintain effective working relationships with others to facilitate a positive work environment.Preform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Four plus years of litigation paralegal experienceBachelor degree, or equivalent work experience in a field that develops the skills required for the functions and responsibilities of the position.Strong knowledge of bluebooking and cite checking briefs, as well as creation of Table of Authorities through Best Authority.Understands mechanics of e-filing and e-files with state and federal courts and agencies.Experience interacting with outside entities (e.g. courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors and other law firms) to gather information or coordinate activities as needed in support of upcoming depositions, trials, arbitrations.Completion of an approved paralegal program or ability to provide attorney attestation.Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial.Experience coordinating all logistics for trials/arbitrations/mediation, including negotiating workspace, setting up remote office space (in coordination with Litigation Support Services), and coordinating with vendors.Experience using Relativity document hosting database.
