No specific litigation practice is required.Candidates MUST have Strong knowledge of bluebooking and cite checking briefs, as well as creation of Table of AuthoritiesThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience and will be responsible for the coordination of all details before, during and after trial. The successful candidate will have experience managing a trial team from inception through completion including legal research, document filing, coordinating and being a part of the onsite team.Responsibilities:Creates and implements all elements of litigation case management systems, including file management (electronic and hard copy), case calendaring, discovery-related tasks and trial activitiesMaintain pleadings and discovery indexesAssist attorneys with document reviews (setup, coordination of hot doc binders, preparation of privilege logs, conduct searches as needed, etc.)Strong knowledge of bluebooking and cite checking briefs, as well as creation of Table of AuthoritiesUnderstands mechanics of e-filing and e-files with state and federal courts and agenciesAssist with preparation of state and federal court filings in coordination with Managing Attorney’s Office, including coordination of service copies, delivery of documents to Court, preparation of litigation backs and other specific document preparation as required by the specific Court or JudgeDraft and review routine legal documents as requested by attorneysConduct precedent and legal research under attorney supervisionExperience interacting with outside entities (e.g. courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors and other law firms) to gather information or coordinate activities as needed in support of upcoming depositions, trials, arbitrations.Create and maintain effective working relationships with others to facilitate a positive work environmentQualifications:Bachelor degree, or equivalent work experience in a field that develops the skills required for the functions and responsibilities of the positionCompletion of an approved paralegal programExperience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trialExperience coordinating all logistics for trials/arbitrations/mediation, including negotiating workspace, setting up remote office space (in coordination with Litigation Support Services), and coordinating with vendorsExperience using Relativity document hosting databaseExperience using litigation support software, including LiveNote and CaseMap.Strong attention to detail and accountabilityAbility to communicate with individuals of all levels within the firm in a courteous and professional mannerExcellent organizational skills, including the ability to work concurrently on a variety of matters and manage time and expectationsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to work well under pressure and deadlinesExcellent judgmentProficiency using LexisNexis, Westlaw, BloombergLawProficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as knowledge of Adobe Acrobat ProPerform other duties as assigned
