Family Law Attorney
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Law Attorney to join our legal team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will handle a diverse range of family law cases including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, and property division. As a vital part of our legal team, you will have the opportunity to leverage your legal expertise and interpersonal skills to provide our clients with high-quality legal representation and support during challenging times in their lives. This position requires strong negotiation abilities, excellent communication skills, and a profound dedication to ethics and client confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters from inception through resolution
Conduct in-depth consultations with clients, advising them on their legal rights and options
Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and agreements
Actively represent clients in court proceedings, mediation sessions, and negotiations
Effectively negotiate settlements to amicably resolve disputes and counsel clients on their best options
Maintain consistent communication with clients to keep them informed about the progress of their case and legal options
Collaborate with support staff and paralegals to ensure thorough preparation for all legal proceedings
Stay updated with developments in family law to ensure compliance and provide the most current advice
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active member of the Washington State Bar
Minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in family law
Proven track record of managing family law cases with strong outcomes
Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and sensitive cases with professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in high-asset, complex family law cases
Advanced certifications in family law or mediation
Strong public speaking skills for effective courtroom presentations
Experience working with diverse populations
Proactive problem-solving skills and creative thinking ability
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Superior organizational and time management skills
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
Highly skilled in conflict resolution and negotiations
Advanced knowledge of legal research software and tools
