Temporary Co-op & Career Advisor
with strengths in career advising/coaching, teaching, recruiting, interpersonal communication, and collaboration.We are seeking applicants interested and available
to work for the next two months through the end of the fall semester in December . This is a non-benefits eligible temporary job that will be paid on an hourly basis, on our normal payroll cycle.Wentworth offers 20+ majors, including construction management, civil engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, architecture, and industrial design. Cooperative Education is the cornerstone of a Wentworth undergraduate degree. As a graduation requirement, all undergraduate students must complete two co-op semesters to gain hands-on work experience in their industry.The Co-ops & Careers department manages Wentworth’s cooperative education program. Every advisor supports students and alumni in specific majors with career exploration, career decision-making, job search efforts, and transition to the workplace.Job Responsibilities:Provide co-op and career advising/coaching to current students and alumni.Provide critical feedback on job search application materials, interview skills, and networking skills.Maintain accurate student records using Excel and Symplicity.Monitor student and employer co-op experiences and review employer and student evaluations for grading purposes.Provide advice and guidance on employment situations and mediate challenges.Develop and maintain employer relationships.Build knowledge of industry and job market trends.Develop and teach professional development curriculum and workshops.Collaborate with the Co-ops & Careers department to provide planning and support for signature events.Establish rapport with faculty and be a strong campus partner and collaborator.Attend school, program, and departmental meetings as directed or invited.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degreeAt least one year of related experiencePreferred Requirements:Master's degreeInclusive Excellence at WentworthWentworth Institute of Technology is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all University programs and activities.
