Major Responsibilities:

Acts as a technical leader and mentor to up and coming team members.

Effectively articulates recommended solutions to project teams, management, and executive leadership.

Takes lead on large projects, initiatives, and complex changes.

Designs, implements, and maintains cloud infrastructure solutions that follow industry best practices and meet organizational requirements.

Configures and deploys cloud services, including virtual machines, storage databases, network, and security components.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture best practices and standards.

Monitors and optimizes cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security.

Automates deployment, configuration, and management tasks using scripting or automation tools.

Performs regular security assessments and implements measures to protect cloud-based systems and data.

Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.

Position Qualifications:License/Certification/Education:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or 5 years of related industry experience.

Preferred:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.

Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect.

Experience/Skills:

Required:

Minimum seven (7) years of related system administration and/or systems engineering experience.

Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions using platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or VMware Cloud (VMC).

Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including virtualization, containers, microservices, and serverless architecture.

Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.

Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls.

Familiarity with security best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred:

Experience with managing VMware vCenter and HorizonView.

Experience with managing HPE servers, blade chassis, and 3Par storage arrays.

Experience with managing Cisco Nexus switches.

Experience with managing Checkpoint firewalls.

Experience with managing Big IP F5 Load balancers.

This position is required to participate in a 24 x 7 on-call rotation.
