Position Summary
The Human Resources Director will lead all HR functions including policy development and implementation, all aspects of employment and legal compliance.
Essential Functions
Establish and maintain strong relationships with management to understand their needs and collaborate on solutions.
Ensure HRIS systems are maintained with current employee data as well as benefit specifications and plan changes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting for DOT, EEOC, ACA and OSHA and others as needed.
Manage unemployment responses.
Support managers and supervisors in employee relations and engagement, onboarding, training and performance management.
Attract, hire and retain qualified talent; manage offer letters and onboarding, communicate staff changes with team to ensure proper payroll actions.
Perform employee benefits administration.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of five years’ experience in the human resource field.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong attention to details.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Working Conditions
General office environment.
