DutiesThe incumbent ensures senior management stays abreast of actions taken and information received that correspond to mission, programs, projects, etc. Informs appropriate senior management of relevant actions taken or decisions made. Performs work involving managing and advising staff, including senior managers, on administrative and technical services to include human resources, policy development, strategic planning, acquisitions, solicitations, purchases and contracts, files and records, and physical property and office space. Leads, directs and manages projects and teams. Analyzes and resolves complex program and operational problems, developing and implementing improvements, and assessing the results that support the organization's goals.

In order to be deemed as qualified candidates must have one year of specialized experience which is equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes:
Experience leading or overseeing staff and any/all work performed by staff.Experience advising senior leaders on a full range of programs including information technology, human resources management, contracts and contractors, and funds management.Experience consulting senior leaders on management and administrative matters.Experience presenting briefings to senior leaders on complex and controversial issues.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) is designed to afford selection priority to well-qualified, internal FCC employees who meet the definition of a "surplus" or "displaced" employee.
