Cloud Operations Team
at the
Herndon or Chantilly, VA
location.The Cloud Operations Team provides end-to-end cloud solutions for workloads in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle, enhancing the Customer’s mission through innovation, speed, agility, security, and resiliency.Responsibilities:Leading the development and delivery of complex, cloud-native applications and services.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize applications that leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.Setting technical direction, mentoring development teams, and ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of cloud-based solutions.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.9+ years of experience in software development with a focus on cloud technologies.Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google Cloud).Strong proficiency in cloud-native development frameworks, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Advanced programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, Go, or similar.Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.Strong understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and API gateways.Knowledge of cloud security practices, including identity management, encryption, and secure coding.Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps methodologies.Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.Preferred Qualifications:Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Developer.Experience with agile development methodologies.Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.Familiarity with modern data processing frameworks and tools in the cloud (e.g., Kafka, Spark).Clearance Requirements:TS/SCI with PolygraphPhysical Requirements:Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
