We are seeking an experienced Oncology Information System (OIS) Infrastructure / Deployment Engineer with extensive knowledge across various systems and environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Microsoft operating systems, network architectures, SQL Server, virtualization, core cloud platform services, and cybersecurity practices. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with experience managing and optimizing IT infrastructures to be part of the software product engineering team delivering engineering artifacts including documentation of installation, deployment, and configuration recommendations and assisting with testing of our software solutions during the software release process.
Responsibilities:
As a Lead OIS Infrastructure and Deployment Engineer, you play a critical role in our core software engineering team that is essential to the success of our Software Engineering, Architecture, and DevOps teams. Your responsibilities will include using the prerequisite skills and experience to create documentation, guidelines, and implementation covering deployment, configuration, and use of our software products across a range of operating systems, complex networks, and cloud services including SAN, clustering, virtualization, Citrix (XenApp), recovery, RAID configurations, load balancing, domain and multi-domain configurations.
Responsibilities also include assisting with testing of our software solutions in those environments and configurations including setting up internal development and test systems for the software we develop, helping with verification and validation plans, assisting with testing of our software solutions, supporting DevOps and Cloud teams with setting up environments to test, and supporting installers who set up systems to these specifications in the field.
Qualifications:
3+ years hands-on experience with virtualization/Cloud technologies including Azure, VMware, Citrix, SAN, LAN, WAN, and VPN.
Advanced Azure Certification(s) preferred.
Passion for problem solving and learning new technologies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Previous experience with a managed services company, hosted service company, or Network Operations Center environment.
3+ years System administration and support experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems (experience with mixed environments a plus).
Experience with PowerShell and other automation environments and scripting technologies.
Knowledge of SQL Server configuration and fundamentals including clustering and failover configurations.
Active Directory skills, including Group Policy Administration, Replication and Deployment experience.
Azure Networking fundamentals.
Automation experience with a configuration management system such as ARM, DSC, Terraform, or other such tools a big plus.
Well versed in Internet architectures, including web, application, and database components.
Solid understanding of systems monitoring, alerting, and analytics.
Additional Preferred Experience:
MSP Experience:
Prior experience working in Managed Service Providers (MSPs) is highly preferred. This includes managing diverse client environments, handling multi-tenant infrastructures, and delivering comprehensive IT solutions across various industries.
Diverse IT Environments:
Exposure to a wide range of IT environments including corporate, industrial, academic, and public sector settings.
Virtualization:
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and others.
Project Management:
Experience in managing or contributing to IT projects involving system migrations, large-scale deployments, or infrastructure upgrades.
Vendor Management:
Experience coordinating with multiple vendors and managing third-party services and contracts.
