We build hope for everyone dealing with cancer.The Network Engineer should have exceptional technical expertise and customer service skills, take initiative and should be capable of working in a demanding, fast-paced environment. As a member of our Cloud Services team, the Network Engineer is expected to independently install, deploy and upgrade network equipment; design and implement network optimization projects; support business teams on joint-initiatives as a technical advisor or resource. The Network Engineer will also be expected to participate in Network and Security planning, implementation and support. The Network Engineer will assist Helpdesk support activities and share 24/7 on-call responsibilities as required.Responsibilities:Support network initiatives, detailed network designs and deployments as well as coordinating technical issues with clients, vendors, and internal teams.Support the design, installation, maintenance and monitoring of network systems including switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection systems and switch and firewall-based policies.Responsible for expert-level troubleshooting of any problems relating to networking issues. Adhere to Cloud access-management incident response and change control procedures.Develop Cloud infrastructure project plan, technical specifications, design documents, roll-out and test plans.Contribute to Cloud policies and process development using industry best practices.Contribute to mentoring junior staff and knowledge transfer to Cloud Services team.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.5+ years IT experience with ongoing skills development.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to rapidly identify and resolve issues under pressure. Self-motivated, results-driven, and well organized.Can handle multiple tasks with clear sense of ownership and priority.Can see the big picture and strive for constant operational improvements.Experience with FortiGate firewalls is a plus.Experience with Cloud Networking technologies (Azure) is a plus ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.Understand MPLS, VPN and TLS and other point to point connectivity.Experience with networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, HSRP, VPN, IPSEC, VoIP, and QoS.Experience in WAN/LAN networking including routing, switching, security, load balancing.Working knowledge of Cloud and Datacentre networking.Knowledge of FortiGate firewalls required.Knowledge of Cloud Networking architecture.Knowledge of on premise Firewalls and Switching.What you’ll get:In this role, you will work for a higher purpose; hope for everyone dealing with cancer, and for everyone regardless of where in the world, to have access to the best cancer care.
