As a key member of the R&D Engineering team, the
Principal DevOps Engineer
will be responsible for leading the effort in managing the infrastructure that supports the development, testing, and deployment of our medical device software solutions. You will work closely with software engineers, QA, and IT teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. Your role will focus on automating workflows, monitoring system performance, and ensuring compliance with healthcare industry regulations.About the Role:
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient application, cloud, and embedded infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to support the development and deployment of medical device software.Ensure that the infrastructure and processes comply with medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, HIPAA) and security best practices (e.g., encryption, access control, zero trust etc…).Develop and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable, and safe software delivery.Monitor system performance and health, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to ensure high availability and reliability.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field and 12+ years of experience; Master's degree with minimum of 8 years of experience.Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Deep Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical device software development life cycle (SDLC) processes preferred.Experience working in a regulated environment preferred (medical a strong plus)Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards for medical devices (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, HIPAA).Why Laborie:
