Project Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing large-scale construction projects such as highways, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction activities from project inception to completion. Design and Engineering:
Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure project designs are feasible and meet regulatory requirements. Budgeting and Cost Control:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards. Schedule Management:
Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones. Site Supervision:
Monitor on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications. Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Problem Solving:
Identify and address potential issues or risks that may impact project timelines or budgets. Documentation:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Experience:
3-5 years of experience in heavy civil construction projects. Skills:
Proficiency in project management software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Primarily field-based, requiring regular site visits and inspections. May involve working in various weather conditions and environments. This role is crucial for ensuring that heavy civil projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders involved.
