Overview Hamilton Mayer International are pleased to be working in close partnership with a prominent global construction firm as they seek a seasoned Project Director to lead the execution of complex heavy civil infrastructure projects exceeding $500 million in value. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in delivering large-scale projects, including highways, bridges, tunnels, and transit systems. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of project delivery, from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations. Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Establish and maintain rigorous project schedules, mitigating risks and optimizing resource allocation to achieve timely delivery. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to address potential challenges. Build and lead high-performing project teams, fostering collaboration and motivating team members to achieve project goals. Cultivate strong relationships with clients, ensuring open communication and addressing concerns promptly. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree in Business Administration or Project Management would be an added bonus but not essential. Minimum of 20 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with an established track record in executing large-scale projects successfully. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, including both union and open-shop workforce, whilst managing complex projects; which may include demanding owners sometimes. Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement, and risk management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Please note that this is a demanding role requiring some travel and extended work hours. Interested in this role?
