We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of ESG Governance Data and Reporting to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ESG rating systems, regulatory compliance frameworks such as the CSRD, and possess strong data management, communication, and reporting skills. This role leads the ESG public reporting and validation process and needs to be able to manage key stakeholders, meet deadlines, and think analytically. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of assisting with business inquiries related to ESG in RFPs and RFIs and Cognizant’s ESG priorities. This role requires the ability to lead a small team, validate data accuracy, as well as communicate and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with net zero commitments, Sustainability public reporting, and other ESG commitments.Responsibilities
Understand and stay abreast of various ESG rating systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.Think critically about strategic approach to global ESG compliance.Coordinate on ESG strategies with trade associations.Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks such as the CSRD and other relevant ESG regulations.Manage and report on ESG data, including but not limited to carbon emissions, diversity metrics, and sustainability initiatives.Support the organization's net zero commitments by monitoring and reporting on progress towards carbon reduction targets.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the team providing responses to ESG-related inquiries in RFPs and RFIs from clients and partners.Lead a small team responsible for ESG data management, validation, and reporting.Develop and implement processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity in ESG reporting.Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external parties on ESG-related matters.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, J.D., MBA) preferred.In-depth understanding of ESG rating systems, reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CSRD, GRI, SASB).Strong analytical skills with the ability to validate and interpret complex ESG data sets.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ESG-related concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.Ability to lead and manage a small team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience in working with teams and stakeholders across different departments and regions.Ability to communicate ESG strategy in all corporate affairs capacities including investors, internal stakeholders, policymakers, and clients.Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $115,000 - 175,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.Benefits
