Work with Client Business user team for Requirement discussion and developers at all stages to promote quality. Involve in Knowledge Map, Knowledge Acquisition, Technical Design and Estimation for Fixes and Enhancement. Effective involvement in both Functional and Technical knowledge with Customer SMEs and Tech Leads. Work allocation and sync between Offshore Lead on Design and Project Status. Involve in Customer business user for Project Prioritization and Design discussion. Work with Client user team to prioritize bugs, defects and changes. Reproduce the defects reported by Client team and help create Projects for Level 2 and Level 3 defects and create Technical design. Take care of Production fixes from acknowledging to implementation (Quick analysis, communicating back to customer team, fixes, testing). Expected to be a good team player – Collaboration between other Leads and BAs. Work with customer help desk to take care of complete infrastructure related tasks/queries for onsite and offshore team. Work with customer server admin team to take care of implementation and change control tasks. Act promptly on server load or production bug related priority tasks. Co-coordinate with the Client operations and business user team to ensure required test platforms are available. Work with Offshore Tech Lead to perform root-cause analysis and preliminary problem diagnosis. Technically lead both offshore and onsite team. Prompt reporting to Onsite and Offshore Managers. Prompt reporting to Customer Stakeholders. Educate team to ensure the nature of the defects, bugs are not repeated. Take complete ownership of technical landscape of the entire module during knowledge acquisition. Build a Knowledge repository to help offshore Dev and QA team understand the business. Work Experience Requirements:
At least 10 - 15 years experience in AS/400 applications. Heavy experience in migration projects from AS400 to any ERP (SAP, Oracle etc) - Experience in both Conceptualization and implementation. Should understand and articulate the architecture of the ERP migration projects. Understanding of software development, enhancement and support. Experience in setting up Development Life Cycle Processes. Knowledge of distribution systems is an added advantage. Must have worked in Enhancement or Development Projects. Must have worked in Implementation in previous assignments. Must have completed one Life Cycle Process for an enhancement/development. Must have experience working with customers directly. Must have offshore coordination experience. Must have worked in JOBs and JDs. Skills:
Very Strong in AS/400. Heavy experience in migration projects from AS400 to any ERP (SAP, Oracle etc) - Experience in both Conceptualization and implementation. Very Strong in Program Analytical skills. Very Strong in programming languages RPG and CL. Mature in ILE hands-on. Strong in SQL hands-on and RDBMS concepts. Mature in AS/400 JOBs, JDs and related tasks. Strong in Unit Testing Concepts. Strong in Designing Process/Technical/Work Flow for designing an application. Strong in Change Management Tool (Turnover is an added advantage). Strong in IFS and QDLS related File Systems. Mature in Modernization concepts. Knowledge in Integration Systems (Socket/MQ/Java services). Knowledge in XML and XML Parsing in RPG is an added advantage. Knowledge in CGI (Common Gateway Interface) programming is an added advantage.
