Ohio Gratings, Inc. is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead our financial planning and analysis functions. In this key leadership role, you will develop budgets, forecasts, financial models, and performance analyses that will directly influence strategic decision-making and drive our company’s financial health and sustainability.

As Ohio Gratings continues to grow and innovate, the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our financial strategies align with our long-term business goals. Your expertise in Epicor ERP and manufacturing environments will help optimize resources, improve profitability, and enable cross-departmental collaboration to meet and exceed company objectives. This position is integral to our success, as you will provide actionable financial insights that directly contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality products efficiently and safely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning.

Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives.

Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.

Oversee cost accounting functions, including product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies and initiatives.

Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital expenditures.

Prepare business cases for new projects and initiatives, ensuring sound financial planning and alignment with company goals.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze financial results and performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods.

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and the board.

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through financial data analysis, offering actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Business Partnering:

Collaborate with department heads to understand key business drivers and their impact on financial performance.

Implement and maintain financial systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting, with a focus on Epicor.

Team Leadership and Development:

Manage, mentor, and develop the FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Process Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement in financial planning and analysis processes, implementing best practices and tools to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

7-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with experience in a manufacturing environment and Epicor ERP required.

Expert-level Excel user with extensive experience in financial modeling and data analysis.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate complex data to non-technical stakeholders.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work in an office setting for extended periods.

Ability to walk across a large multi-building campus and take stairs frequently.

Must be able to sit for long hours and use a computer for extended periods.

Ability to interact with both office and manufacturing associates across multiple locations.
