A commercial real estate client of ours is hiring a Senior Tax Accountant for their Family Investment Group. Your experience is spot on for what they are looking for!In this role, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns for real estate partnerships, operating businesses, individuals, and trusts. They offer great work-life balance, challenging work where you can get broad exposure, really strong benefits, and competitive compensation.Duties and responsibilitiesPrepare and file federal and multi state income tax returns for individuals, trusts, real estate partnerships and operating businesses.Review financial records, such as balance sheets, income statements, depreciation schedules, capital activity and acquisition or sales documentation for proper income tax treatment.Communicate with leadership on tax issues, such as tax planning and potential tax liabilities in a clear and professional manner.Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.Respond to tax authority inquiries.Prepare calculations for annual tax extension and quarterly estimated tax payments.Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations.Requirements and qualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting.Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation.Strong understanding of tax law and regulations.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.Experience with Lacerte tax preparation software, and Intacct and QuickBooks general ledger systems preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, pivot tables).Attention to detail and accuracy in work.Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
