Senior Tax Accountant/Manager

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Tax Preparer and Accountant who will be responsible for tax preparation, real estate accounting, and personal financial accounting. More specifically, the position will be responsible for preparing tax returns for real estate partnerships, operating businesses, individuals and trusts. In addition, the position will be responsible for maintaining the accounting records for some of the real estate entities, operating businesses, trusts and personal financial activity for the owners and their family. This position provides significant exposure to the company’s senior leadership team and family members. You will need to have a strong understanding of accounting and tax laws and be able to communicate effectively with the leadership team. Your ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to your success.Responsibilities
:Prepare and file federal and multi state income tax returns for individuals, trusts, real estate partnerships and operating businesses.Review financial records, such as balance sheets, income statements, depreciation schedules, capital activity and acquisition or sales documentation for proper income tax treatment.Communicate with leadership on tax issues, such as tax planning and potential tax liabilities in a clear and professional manner.Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.Respond to tax authority inquiries.Prepare calculations for annual tax extension and quarterly estimated tax payments.Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations.Qualifications
:Bachelor's degree in Accounting.Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation.Strong understanding of tax law and regulations.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.Experience with Lacerte tax preparation software, and Intacct and QuickBooks general ledger systems preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, pivot tables).Attention to detail and accuracy in work.Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
