With a unique approach to data lineage, tracing data from its origin for better classification and protection, Cyberhaven combines the functionality of traditional data protection security tools into a single, more effective solution.Position Overview:Cyberhaven is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team and assist in day-to-day corporate accounting operations, supporting the month end close process, and helping to implement systems and processes that will support Cyberhaven as we continue to scale. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast and high-growth environment, and have the opportunity for ownership over financial processes.The ideal candidate thrives in a high-growth start-up, is detail-oriented, and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Additionally, the candidate has demonstrated the ability to build scalable cross-functional relationships through systems and process implementation.What you’ll do:Operations:Oversee accounts payable functions, including reviewing vendor invoices, and managing vendor approvals and payments

Manage the Revenue and Order-to-Cash process, including invoice processing, collections and ASC 606 reporting

Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and processes to streamline close and build scalable solutions to support the growth of the Company

Manage tax and employment compliance in various states, countries and entities

Utilize financial software systems (e.g. Quickbooks, Salesforce, Anrock, Ramp,

Bill.com , Gusto,

Remote.com )

Financial Reporting:Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, Bank Reconciliations, prepaids, accruals, and variance analysis

Build or enhance balance sheet account reconciliations including reviewing and performing some clean-up of historical reconciliations and related balances

Assist in the preparation of various financial statements, such as balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement

Identify and drive process improvements to gain efficiencies and reduce close timelines

Audit Preparation:Assist in annual financial statement audit, preparing audit schedules & other audit requests, and interacting directly with external audit staff

Stay current on current accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and drive ongoing improvement initiatives

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent required

3+ years of relevant accounting experience; Combination of public accounting and industry experience

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically ASC 606

Experience with general ledger functions and the month end/year end close process is strongly preferred

Experience with financial audit preparation is strongly preferred

Proven proficiency in Excel and Google suite products

Excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail

Excellent problem solving skills; project management experience a plus, ability to work in a fast pace environment

Nice to have: direct accounting experience for any/all of the following areas: ASC 842, ASC 340, intercompany consolidations, Equity specialist, Google Workspace Expert (Docs, Sheets, etc.), Quickbooks and Ramp expert.What you can count on:Competitive start up salary and generous stock options

The estimated base salary for this role is $130k to $150k depending on experience. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range.
