The Y is an inclusive organization and one of the largest child care providers serving Washington D.C., suburban Maryland and northern Virginia. Every year, we provide opportunities in wellness, aquatics, youth sports, summer camp, child care, senior health and more for over 250,000 people through our 16 branches and program centers. Our utmost goal is to make the Y and all we offer accessible and available to the entire community. After all we’ve been serving the DMV area for over 164 years.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the overall operation of the early learning childcare program.

Supervising a team of early learning professionals.

Planning, developing and implementing the YUSA Creative Curriculum.

Maintaining jurisdiction licensing regulations and ensuring the health and safety of the children.

Ensuring program accreditation.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, education, recreation or equivalent.

3-5 years of experience working in a licensed, certified, military, or tribal childcare program with substantial responsibility for development and delivery of program curriculum, supervision and staff training and development.

Must have the following clearances upon hire: Drug and alcohol screening, criminal background check, Tuberculosis (TB) test, CPR/First Aid Certification.
