The Role

Cognizant Technology Modernization is changing the game in Data, Cloud and Generative AI based consultancy services. Tech Modernization is almost like a boutique consultancy inside of Cognizant that creates change in how technology is used and fosters an innovative engineering culture.

We strategically drive modern engineering practices and ways of working, along with helping clients in all aspects of enterprise technology solution modernization including AI, Cloud, DevOps, Data and more.

We’re looking for a Data Modeler - Senior Consultant who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As the Senior Manager, this means overseeing advisory consulting engagements, being a trusted advisor to clients, establishing oneself as a thought leader in your field, solving complex problems, consultatively working with a client to achieve business goals, driving contributions to offerings and innovations, and serving as a people leader, guiding multiple teams as they work to transform a client and the world. In addition to enabling consulting excellence through the Five Pillars of Consulting, the specific requirements for this position are below.

Responsibilities:

Develop a pension retirement plan system

Develop a Greenfield implementation

Develop a comprehensive solution, including an Operational Data Store, data flows, and integration of multiple data sources

Collaborate with the Product owners and gather the data needs across the squad teams

Analysis for Data Attributes for the ODS and to support APIs/ Integration services

Data Source (SOR) identification

Schema modification (with respect to current data model)

Ongoing data model enhancement for engineering teams

Based on experience, support or own and manage one or more project workstream(s), including deliverables, while adhering to budget, timelines, and client engagement guidelines

Partner with clients and project stakeholders and apply technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; this may include leading and managing small solutioning teams to accomplish the above

Elevate the Cognizant brand from mere solution vendor to business-focused transformation partner, based on earning the trust and confidence of clients

Ensure accurate understanding of a client’s business challenges and their optimum alignment to engagements delivering Cognizant solutions

Capitalize on successful project outcomes in pursuit of further client business partnering and involvement with the client’s development of strategic digital transformation roadmaps;

Qualifications

5+ years of Data Architecture experience in: Pension systems domain knowledge, business analysis, data analytics, data modeling and design, and AWS Cloud

Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure SQL Database)

Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data management practices.

Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, ERwin, PowerDesigner, or equivalent).

Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

Proficiency in SQL and database scripting.

Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration.

Work Authorization

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,450-129,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
