We are looking for a dedicated Director Trauma Program like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsThe Director Trauma Program serves as a key contact for trauma medical patients, ensuring that the patient population served has a safe, high-quality, efficient delivery of care throughout the continuum of care. The Director also monitors to assure all quality benchmarks are reached by planning and implementation of clinical protocols and practice management guidelines, participates in case reviews, and is involved in trauma education and prevention programs internally and in the community. Other duties include helping to facilitate achieving and maintaining accreditation as a Trauma Center via standards put forth by the accreditation committee, supervising performance improvement analysis and data entry into the trauma registry while exhibiting professionalism in dealing with confidential information, and representing the trauma program in various hospital, community, and state committees to enhance optimal trauma care management.What qualifications you will need:Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current license as a registered Nurse to practice in the State of South Carolina or compact state license required. TNCC required (* Transfers/New Hires have six (6) months from employment to obtain TNCC certifications).Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required, Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business is preferred. National certification in specialty must be achieved within 12 months of appointment if not current.Experience:
7+ years of leadership experience in healthcare within critical care services required. Experience leading diverse teams, including physician stakeholders, is required. Preferred degree can substitute for 2+ years of the required experience.Trident Health is a 445-bed HCA Healthcare hospital system comprised of two acute care hospitals, Trident Medical Center and Summerville Medical Center, and three freestanding emergency departments: Brighton Park Emergency, Moncks Corner Medical Center, and Centre Pointe Emergency.We provide care to nearly 375,000 South Carolina Low country residents each year.
