The Center SF is a vibrant community space dedicated to personal, spiritual, and social transformation. Our teahouse, yoga studio, and event space provide a welcoming environment for exploration, growth, and connection through movement, tea, the healing arts, and community-building events.

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a dynamic, hands-on Events Lead to manage and curate our busy calendar of 50-60 transformative events per month. In this role, you will lead our event booking process from start to finish, vetting facilitators, coordinating logistics, overseeing day-of operations, and improving the booking experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively with facilitators, our virtual assistant, designer, staff, and volunteer team.

Responsibilities:

Event Coordination & Management:

Vet facilitators to ensure alignment with our mission and space requirements.

Coordinate event bookings, handling inbound inquiries and building a full, balanced schedule.

Collaborate with our designer to create unique, themed marketing materials for each event.

Work closely with our virtual assistant to ensure events are accurately posted on social media and Eventbrite.

Coordinate with staff and volunteers on day-of event logistics, including sound, seating, check-in, and volunteer support.

Customer Service & On-Site Support:

Provide exceptional on-site support to customers and facilitators, handling inquiries, check-ins, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Volunteer Program Management:

Manage and post events to our volunteer software, ensuring volunteer support for as many events as possible.

Maintain positive relationships with volunteers and facilitate smooth event-day coordination.

Administrative & Process Improvement:

Monitor and reply to event-related emails, including facilitator and customer support inquiries.

Identify opportunities to improve and streamline the event booking process.

Audit the Events:

Continuously monitor event attendance and profitability.

Proactively shape an events program that exceeds the expectations of attendees.

Communicate with management an action plan for underperforming events.

Experienced & Detail-Oriented:

Previous experience running events and understanding of successful event coordination.

Skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborative & Communicative:

Comfortable giving and receiving direct feedback.

Enjoy working in a small team and communicating with various collaborators.

Spiritual & Mindful:

Understanding of spiritual and personal growth themes and their importance to our community.

Customer-Focused & Adaptable:

A skilled writer, able to craft thoughtful and responsive emails.
