Job Overview
The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care is looking for a Statistician (Research Data Analyst 2) to gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of research data related to perioperative medicine and critical care. The incumbent will design and conduct research, including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings in collaboration with a Senior Statistician and the Principal Investigators (PIs) of the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care.The Statistician will prepare reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results. Experience in biostatistics is required, ideally in the medical field. Knowledge and experience in machine learning is preferred.Responsibilities
Conduct statistical studies in support of research proposals and protocols.Maintain and develop research gathering, retrieval, and reporting systems.Gather and analyze research data; prepare and summarize information and/or recommendations.Independently plan limited studies or assist higher-level Analysts in large, complex studies.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $94,200 (Annual Rate).To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit:
