What started as the largest denim launch in history has evolved into an iconic and inclusive fashion line of denim, ready-to-wear, swim, shoes and activewear.As the Sr Import and Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the operational functions of the company to ensure smooth business operations, efficient supply chain management, and exceptional customer service.Key Responsibilities:
Import Freight ManagementOwn end to end import process from factory pick up to warehouse delivery.Manage relationship with freight forwarders to find most cost effective and efficient shipping method.Partner with order management vendor to consolidate shipments and minimize Good American LCL shipments.Issue GA Freight RFQ and maintain rate matrix.Partner with internal Teams including Production, Planning, Order Allocation, Sales and Ecom to ensure communication of any ETA impacts.Manage receipt of all shipments into US Distribution Center and manage all exceptions for quick and efficient receipt of inventory.Proactively manage all launches and sets for on-time and complete delivery.Maintain and publish Good American Import KPIs.Customs Compliance
Maintain Good American import records to meet highest record keeping standards.Manage Duty Drawback and First Sale records and processes to recoup maximum return.Create and implement best-in-class processes for Customs compliance across the company.Classify and maintain Good American HTS database for US, Canada and UK.Secure CTPAT certification for Good American.Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Licensed US Customs broker preferred.Proven experience in import and Customs management within the apparel or fashion industry.Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, production planning, inventory management, and logistics.Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.Proficiency in using ERP systems, inventory management software, and other operational tools. Preferred experience using NetSuite.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage complex Excel spreadsheets, Tableau, Power BI and data management.Working Conditions:
Fast-paced office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities and warehouses.Ability to work flexible hours to oversee operations across different time zones or locations.Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.Please note that this role requires to be onsite four days a week.At Good American, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace drives innovation and success.
