Job Description
Caterpillar has an opening for a Senior Labor Relations Partner for the Track-Type Tractor manufacturing facility located in East Peoria, Illinois. This position will be responsible for managing Labor Relations functions relative to UAW contract administration and negotiations, grievance procedures, arbitration, job placement, manpower planning, and other matters related to the union represented production workforce.
What you will do:
Consult with facility leadership on ways to improve organizational effectiveness and culture
Confront complex issues or concerns that require careful analysis and diagnosis.
Provide counsel to management in the areas of UAW contract administration and negotiation.
Handle employee issues, grievance procedures, arbitration, job placement, and other matters related to the union represented production workforce.
Provide guidance associated with internal investigations
Ensure compliance with company policies, governmental regulations, and the collective bargaining agreement.
Track metrics and measures for the Labor Relations function, provide analysis to Sr. Leadership.
Provide and/or develop appropriate learning for the Operations leaders.
Assist with design, implementation, and administration of employee relations programs.
Set priorities and establish work plans to achieve desired results.
Communication of Labor Relations related policies/procedures.
Education and Experience Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related curriculum from an accredited college or university or extensive experience in lieu of degree is desired
