The Director of Human Resources and Operations creates and promotes a positive, multicultural work environment that supports consistency throughout the organization's training, operational methods, and technology needs. Position-Specific
Oversees and provides support for human resources practices and policies, spanning the entire employee experience including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, performance management and separation.
Oversees all agency office functions including adequate leasing, reception, cleaning, maintenance, and equipment and supply inventory.
Supports the confidential storage of agency case files.
Consults with agency leaders and employees to resolve various employee-relations issues.
In consultation with Chief Program Officer, develops, implements, and monitors effective staffing and training plans for each program.
Develops, implements, and maintains a progressive employee benefits package and salary grading system.
Oversees the implementation, utilization and maintenance of the information technology system.
Works collaboratively with Chief Program Officer to develop and implement program policies and procedures.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of DCFS policy and procedure, Medicaid Community Mental Health Services Rule 132, and Council on Accreditation Standards.
Manages COA Accreditation process.
Completes other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Executive
As a member of the Executive leadership team, facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff throughout the organization.
Collaborates with Executive leadership team on strategic and financial planning.
Maintains continuous line of communication with Executive Director and immediately informs leadership of critical issues.
Staff liaison to Risk Management Committee of the Board.
Supervisory
/Leadership
Shares information with other agency leaders to promote an environment of consistency, support, and accountability.
Utilizes agency clinical philosophy to inform all aspects of program activities.
Responsible for the recruitment, screening, hiring, training and evaluation of Human Resource Manager, Office and IT Manager, Receptionist, and IT consultants.
Provides and documents consistent supervision to direct reports.
Gives ongoing feedback to coach and develop supervisees and ensures department goals are met.
Reviews and approves supervisee's personnel-related documentation.
Prepares for agency licensing/contract monitoring/grant compliance visits in accordance with funder requirements.
Represents the agency at meetings, committees, and workgroups, as directed.
