The projects our team manages cover a wide range in scale and complexity, ensuring that there is rarely a dull moment. On projects we organize stakeholders and our teams for success, forecast project performance, work with technical experts in and outside of our company to build the right solution, and foster a community of learning and growth for our employees!Job Overview:As a Senior Technical Project Manager you will be working alongside a highly motivated and hard working engineering team to untangle the complex web of customer needs, company resources, and the laws of physics. You could be working on next generation spacecraft, technology on the forefront of green energy, best in class consumer products, or any of our other high impact projects. Alongside customer work, our senior TPMs also contribute to and influence our internal infrastructure development as our team grows!What You Will Do:Work with clients on the cutting edge of technology developmentLead teams to build the right thing in a wide variety of industries such as aerospace, automotive, renewable energy, medical devices, and moreDrive client and internal communication, including difficult conversations on scope, timeline and budgetManage team morale, stress and time in order to maintain a healthy project culture and client relationshipForecast project performance and plan around identified risksManage and track project budget, resourcing, and schedule across multiple teams and projectsDrive the creation of project budgets, work breakdowns, rough-order estimates, task prioritization, and integration plansAssist in screening of candidates and contractorsParticipate in the development of internal PM tools, policies and best practicesWhat You Will Need:Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, Management, Business, or related fields)5-7+ years experience working as a technical project manager in a related fieldFamiliarity with the labor breakdown and execution of engineering projects and project planningExcellent verbal and written communication skills on technical topicsAbility to identify project risk, scope creep, and missing critical requirementsHigh level of organization and responsivenessFamiliarity with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, etc.What Would Be Useful:Direct experience in technical engineering project managementFamiliarity with formal project accounting and reportingExperience in 1 or more of the following:Electrical engineering design work and knowledge of embedded systems, firmware, power electronics, analog control, and/or discrete logic designMechanical systems and packaging for aerospace, automotive, and/or consumer electronics productsQuality management systems and practices, such as AS9100 or ISOTest systems and/or qualification testing for aerospace, automotive, and/or medical projectsSoftware development flows and frameworks and core concepts of common programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, etc.)Additional Requirements:Applicant must be willing to work 40 hours a week on-site in Redmond, Washington, USAApplicant must be eligible to work on ITAR projectsJob Type: Full-time (Salary)To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
