Overview : Insight Hospital and Medical Center, located in Chicago, is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Pharmacy Director. This position will support and assist the Pharmacy Director in overseeing operations across specialty, inpatient, outpatient and 340B programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy management with a proven track record of optimizing pharmacy services and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, following the mission, values, and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and guests. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Assist the Pharmacy Director in leading the daily operations of the pharmacy, including inpatient, outpatient, specialty and 340B programs. Supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technicians and other support personnel, ensuring adherence to policies and standards. Foster a collaborative and patient centered environment while providing guidance and mentorship to the pharmacy team. Participate in developing and implementing strategic goals for the pharmacy department. Clinical and Operational Support: Oversee medication management and distribution to ensure safe, effective and cost efficient services. Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to optimize patient outcomes through clinical pharmacy services. Assist in monitoring and improving medication usage and formulary management across the hospital. Ensures the pharmacy is compliant with all regulatory and accrediting standards including 340B program management. 340B Program Oversight: Support the 340B program operations ensuring compliance with federal regulations and optimization of savings opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain program integrity, auditing and reporting processes. Assist in managing the pharmacy department's budget including identifying opportunities for cost saving initiatives and revenue generation. Analyze and report financial and operational performance metrics to senior leadership. Quality & Compliance: Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with local, state and federal regulations as well as hospital policies. Lead efforts in continuous quality improvement, risk management and medication safety programs. Technology & Innovation: Promote and implement new pharmacy technologies to improve operational efficiency and patient care. Support the integration of electronic medical records (EMR) and other technology solutions. Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Licensure: Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Illinois. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Experience with specialty pharmacy, outpatient, inpatient and 340B compliance. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in pharmacy related technology and EMR systems.
