Business Development Director

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Director to join our firm, a leading global engagement agency based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. As a key member of our corporate team, you will leverage behavioral economics to drive substantial engagement and measurable results for our clients, which include major global brands. This hybrid position blends the flexibility of remote work with essential in-person collaboration. You will be at the forefront of identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and crafting innovative solutions tailored to client goals, thereby directly impacting our growth and success in the engagements industry.

Compensation:

$135,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually, inclusive of base pay and commission

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence.

Forge and cultivate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Understand and integrate the business objectives of clients to craft tailored marketing solutions.

Coordinate with subject matter experts to design and execute innovative solutions that align with client goals.

Drive customer loyalty and satisfaction through effective relationship management and strategic initiatives.

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of market trends to ensure adaptability and competitive edge.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Residence within a commutable distance to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for hybrid work arrangements.

A minimum of 8 years of B2B sales experience, particularly with Fortune 500 companies.

Demonstrated history of successful business development in marketing solutions or professional services industries.

Expertise in handling high-volume sales ($250k+ per sale), managing diverse and extended sales cycles (3 to 12 months).

Stability in career, evidenced by no more than 3 job changes in the last 10 years.

Strong strategic planning and analysis skills in sales, marketing, and business development.

Proven ability to negotiate and close deals while maintaining strong client relationships.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

High adaptability to a rapidly changing business environment.

Skills:

Advanced interpersonal and networking skills to engage with various stakeholders and executives.

Strong leadership capabilities to steer team efforts and motivate staff towards common goals.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and address client needs effectively.
