This position is cross-functional with an emphasis on ensuring product scalability and reliability. Other responsibilities include helping to facilitate and implement integrations across large systems.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutionsEnsure timely and lossless communication across teams.Uphold engineering values and best practices.Write automated tests to ensure the quality of the software applications.Optimize software performance and ensure scalability and reliability.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Collaborate with international teams to ensure successful product development and delivery.Help mentor other engineersQualifications:Research shows that women and members of underrepresented groups tend to apply to roles only when they check every box on a job description. We encourage you to apply if you meet the majority of qualifications and if this role is aligned with your career trajectory.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.A strong technical background in software engineering and architecture, with experience in modern programming languagesAbility to work independently with very little direction, taking full ownership of projects.Identifying blind spots, anticipate challenges, and prioritize work effectivelyExceptional communication and organizational skills.Experience in writing and/or supporting Django, Flask, FastAPI or similar web frameworksPreferred Qualifications8+ years of relevant experience preferredExperience with PHP and GoLang are a plus but not requiredExperience with Distributed Task Queues such as Celery and RabbitMQ is preferred.Experience with RDBMS/SQL is also preferred.Experience with MongoDB is preferredExperience with Terraform is preferredExperience with Salesforce is preferredCompensation:Our base pay range starts at $182,000 - $266,000 for this rolePlease note the salary range listed is just one component of a competitive compensation package which includes a company stock planOffers will be reflective of the candidate’s location and experience.At SpotOn, we put people above everything else.
