As we continue to expand our brand and market presence, we seek a strategic and innovative Vice President of Revenue Management to drive our revenue strategy and maximize profitability. The Vice President of Revenue Management will report to Chief Commercial Officer and will be responsible for leading the global revenue management strategy for Windstar Cruises. This role requires a deep understanding of the luxury travel and small-ship cruise market, strong analytical skills, and the ability to implement data-driven strategies that align with our brand’s positioning and business objectives. Leads a team responsible for optimizing pricing, inventory, and yield to maximize revenue and profitability across cruise, hotel, shore excursion and all products part of the guest experience sold pre-cruise and onboard. Responsibilities
Develops and leads a team to execute a comprehensive revenue management strategy that maximizes occupancy and revenue per guest across the fleet, while maintaining the brand's premium positioning. Develops and deploys effective strategic pricing across all products (cruise, add-ons and onboard), revenue yield management, inventory control strategies to ensure maximum occupancy of capacity at the highest revenue and achieve net revenue goals in conjunction with company objectives. Responsible for strategic analysis, business case presentation, project management and working alongside VP of IT to ensure the business has the right tools to monitor and maximize revenue while scaling efficiently as we grow our fleet and product offering beyond cruise. Evaluate, implement, and manage revenue management systems and tools that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. Ensure the integration of revenue management systems with other key business systems. Leads a team who utilizes advanced analytics and business intelligence tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Provides regular reports to the executive team on revenue performance, market trends, and forecast accuracy. Key contributor to budgeting and reforecasting globally and working alongside executive team to assign goals and targets by booking channels and source markets. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, Itinerary Planning, Operations, and Finance teams to align revenue management strategies with overall business objectives. Lead and mentor a team of revenue management professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Vacation Planning, and Operations team on demand generating strategies as well as tactical tasks, including retail promotions. Collaborates with Itinerary Planning, Product and Marine Operations to ensure maximum profitability across the fleet, while delivering best in class itineraries and experiences to our guests. Collaborates with the VP of Sales, Reservations and Charter teams to ensure that processes are in place to maximize revenue across groups, charters and incentives business. Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and changes in the luxury travel and small ship cruising industry. Conduct regular competitive analysis to inform pricing and revenue strategies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, marketing or related field 10+ years of experience in revenue management, pricing strategy, or financial analysis, preferably within the luxury travel, cruise, or hospitality industry. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to speak in public and attend conferences to represent our brand globally Good organizational and management skills Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in data modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving profitability through innovative revenue management strategies. Must possess planning, budgeting and forecasting skills Travel industry experience preferred EEO:
