Location: Charleston, West VirginiaJob Overview:
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with developing, designing, and debugging software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in an area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain software for Oracle Cloud's Database Service offerings.Collaborate with a diverse team to build and operate cloud services.Design and build innovative systems for customer applications.Contribute to defining and evolving standard practices and procedures.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical direction.Minimum Qualifications:BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.10+ years of software engineering or related experience.Strong technical skills in cloud-scale systems, distributed systems, or databases.Experience with Python, Shell Scripting, and Java.Deep knowledge of database internals and management.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Oracle or any RDBMS product.Strong experience with data structures, algorithms, concurrency, multi-threading, and object-oriented design.Compensation and Benefits:US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum.
