Oracle Senior Principal Software Engineer - Oracle Database
Location: Cheyenne, WyomingDesign, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with developing, designing, and debugging software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in an area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc.Own software development of significant features in Oracle Cloud's Database Service offerings.Work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment.Be willing to learn new languages as needed.Minimum QualificationsBS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area. 10+ years of software engineering or related experience. 10 years of professional software development experience or 4+ years with an advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.Preferred QualificationsStrong technical skills with a proven record of designing and developing cloud-scale systems, highly available distributed systems, or databases.Deep knowledge of database internals, database management, and life cycle management.Experience with Oracle or any RDBMS product.Strong experience with data structures, algorithms, concurrency, multi-threading, object-oriented design.Compensation and BenefitsHiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
