We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Technical Product Owner to join our team and lead the delivery and ongoing optimization of our digital applications (eApps) for life insurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of customer-centric product development. As the Technical Product Owner, you will ensure that the squad adheres to agile practices, including conducting regular ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. You will be responsible for planning the technical roadmap, prioritizing features, and ensuring that the delivery is on track to meet business objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in driving innovation and maintaining a seamless digital experience for our customers.

What Work Would I Be Doing?

Lead the Digital Applications squad to deliver a seamless and efficient digital application process for life insurance customers.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Oversee the development and implementation of features that improve information gathering, quoting, communication, and automated decisioning.

Monitors and generates reports on product KPIs.

Ensure the digital application process is user-friendly, efficient, and meets customer needs.

Utilize data and customer feedback to continuously improve the digital application experience.

Manage the technology product backlog, define user stories, and set sprint goals.

Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of product vision and goals.

Monitor and report on product performance, making data-driven decisions to enhance the customer experience.

Coordinating with our integrations team to onboard vendors onto our internal solutions and negotiating scope of work for given initiatives

Monitor system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and ensure seamless operation.

Develop and maintain technical documentation for business and technical processes.

Lead the development and execution of a long-term platform strategy aligned with technology architectural and business goals.

Brings an innovative mindset to improving and elevating technology solutions and enablers

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of experience in a project management, technical product owner, platform owner, engineer, or similar role

Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Ability to translate business needs into effective solutions

Experience with Agile methodologies

Strong technical background and understanding of Software Development

Experience with program and agile delivery methodologies

Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with project tracking software (e.g Jira)

Experience with Azure, AKS on Azure

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)

Experience with DevOps principles and tools

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Experience with JSON

Experience with life insurance eApplications, Quoting, Illustration vendor platforms / products implementation, configuration, and administration

Strong understanding of life insurance industry workflows and processes, particularly relevant to the products being used

Working Arrangement

HybridSalary range is expected to be between$102,200.00 USD - $189,800.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
