Control Risks is looking for a Lab Operations Specialist to support our client’s Fraud & Piracy program. This role will drive and implement consistent operation models for testing & characterization lab parallel to supporting lab resources and users.Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols and proceduresHandle lab maintenance, day-to-day operational items, and procurement managementCoordinate lab workload and facilitate shipping and receiving of samplesAssist lab technicians in assembly and testing of sample devices and hardware systemsTrack and document test devices from initial involvement through final resolutionSupport evaluation of equipment and accessories to maintain and continually scale service offerings worldwideMinimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical engineering, Material science, Physics, or related fields3+ years of experience with lab tools, including operational knowledge and equipment maintenanceExperience in two or more of the following: mechanical prototypes, electrical testing, environmental testing, material characterization, and hardware root cause analysis.Experience with procurement and inventory control of supplies and equipmentKnowledge of laboratory equipment protocols and proceduresAbility to utilize, calibrate, and configure laboratory testing systems and instrumentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility and motivation to operate effectively in a team environmentBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
